Bio
Even if I have a degree in Art Studies and a master in Publishing Studies, most of what I really learned comes from around 20 years of involvement with the underground, and not from any academic context. Been operating in various roles - label and distro 'boss', gig organizer, zine publisher - but mostly, and since the very beginning, as an avid listener with an insatiable curiosity for the visual languages that permeate the genres I am mostly involved with - let's say Industrial Noise & Power Electronics, Noisecore, obscure Black / Death Metal - even though my interests are much wider, feeding on all things dissonant, disruptive, degraded and destroyed.
My influences go from Medellin Ultra Metal to New Age private press tapes, from Austrian avantgarde film to typewriter art, from old xerox blur to bad acid psychedelia, from cut-up automatism to intricate and elaborate Art Brut induced by religious psychosis, from Satanic Panic to Coptic Orthodox asceticism, from Ghana film posters to Japanese death poems - too many and too varied to mention all.
